Memorial Set for Rumson’s Oceanic Marina Owner, Peter Pawlikowski

Peter Pawlikowski, owner of Rumson’s Oceanic Marina, passed away on Dec. 8 Raritan Bay Medical Center with his wife and daughter Kristi by his side. He was 72. Services are set for 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. George’s-by-the-River Episcopal Church in Rumson. 

In honor of his wishes, Peter will be cremated.

Born in Bloomfield, NJ to George and Helen Pawlikowski, Peter graduated from CBA and then served in the US Navy before graduating from Monmouth University with a degree in business. He has been the proud owner of the Oceanic Marina in Rumson since 1992, working there since 1981.

Known as a lover of boats, the water and his Harley, Peter, also a member of the Red Bank Elks and Shrewsbury River Yacht Club, enjoyed telling stories and just enjoying life. 

He is survived by: his loving and devoted wife Barbara (Rigby); sister Kathie Sakin (Charles); his children, Kristi Kelly (Matt), Jessica, Michael & Matthew Pawlikowski; their mother, Ginger; his step-children, Shannon Vonheeder and Matthew Foley; cousin, Jeanette Rogers (Tim); grandchildren, Megan, Jack and Riley Kelly, Brayden Vonheeder and Matty, Owen and Hannah Foley; and his devoted employee and friend, Ed Ryan, Jr.
