Got Drugs? Bring Them to Rumson PD

On Saturday April 30, the Rumson Police Department will be participating in Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA’s) National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, the department announced on its Facebook page.

This means that from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., people may bring expired medications to the police department’s headquarters at 80 East River Road for proper disposal.

The program, an annual national effort taken on by some other neighboring towns, “aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications,” the Rumson PD Facebook post said.
