The following January criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Fair Haven police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incident

• There was a report of vandalism at the Two River Water Reclamation Authority substation off of Chestnut Street on Jan. 11.

Patrolman Christian Hostrup took the report.

Arrest

• James J. Marotta, 56, of Union Beach, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 28. Marotta also received summonses for reckless driving,failure to maintain a lane and obstruction of view.

He was released pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

Contempt of Court

• Derry J. Quigley, 25, of Fair Haven, was arrested by Patrolman Brooks Robinson on a contempt of court warrant following a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 28.

He posted bail and was released.

• Christian Villalba, 24, of Elizabeth, was arrested by Patrolman Christian Hostrup on a contempt of court warrant following a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 19.

He posted bail and was released pending a court appearance.
