These pandemic crisis days, everyone could use a team comprised of a doc with a mask and gloves, a cheerleader, a clergy member, a hunter and Marx brother, right?
Why not? Well, we all need a little cheer, imagining such a team is operating very close together (no distancing) right now, so we’re here to remind you that help has been on the way since the 70s. It came in the form of RFH Class of ’78 camaraderie.
Sure, it was dress-up time at an RFH Halloween parade in 1977, but this crew seemed to unwittingly have all the right elements to avert crisis or console those deep in the thick of it.
And, it seems, they had a back-up shift following in the background. But, just what sort of protective gear is that on the right?
Regardless, take a little breath, a trip back in time and remember a fearless time of posing close and staying close through the good times. They’re bound to resurface when COVID-19 takes a holiday or gets its pervasive curve flattened like the enemy it is.
Now, smile for a few minutes and try to remember who these RFHers in this costumed crew of rescuers are. Doc? Cheerleader? Hunter? Groucho? Priest?
Thanks ever so much, once again, to George Day for this priceless pic of RFH yesteryear!
