Prosecutor: Pedestrian Dies from Injuries Sustained in Collision

A 54-year-old man has died as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle early Monday morning, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni on Tuesday.

Robert Pisano, 54, of Neptune, was walking in the area of Route 36, just east of Middle Road in Hazlet, at 2:24 a.m. on Monday when he was struck by a 2008 Dodge Avenger, driven by John F. Hermans, of Yonkers, NY, that was heading west on the highway.

Hermans was uninjured in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, and Hazlet Police Department. The crash scene was assisted by the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART).
