Police Report: Theft, Harassment, DWI, CDS Possession, Criminal Mischief

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• A theft in the area of Newman Springs Road was reported on Dec. 28. The victim reported that $950 worth of property was stolen.

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.

• There was a report of criminal mischief in the area of Williamsburg Drive on Dec. 24. The victim reported that property was damaged.

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.

• A shoplifting was reported in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Dec. 22. The victim reported that $105 worth of merchandise was stolen.

Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.

• A theft in the area of Broad Street was reported on Dec. 21. The victim reported that someone stole property valued at $500.

Patrolman Kyle Ludwig is investigating.

• A vehicle theft in the area of Corn Lane was reported on Dec. 19. It was reported that a unknown person or people stole a vehicle valued at $20,000 from a driveway.

Detective Sgt. James Ramsey is investigating.

• There was a report of harassment in the area of Avenue at the Commons on Dec. 18. The victim reported that an unknown person made threats via telephone.

Sgt. Tracy Polk is investigating.

Arrests

• Glenn A. Macfarlane, 59, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Dec. 21 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Sgt. Matthew Clark.

• Christopher Rojas-Castillo, 21, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Newman Springs Road on Dec. 18 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Kyle Ludwig.

** One arrest was made solely on a contempt of court warrant.**
