Police Report: Theft, Fraud, DWI, Identity Theft, Shoplifting

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrests does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• The theft of property valued at $3,480 in the area of Meridian Way was reported on Dec. 11.  

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.

• A shoplifting in the area of Broad Street was reported on Dec. 11. The victim reported that merchandise was removed by unknown subject(s).

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating. 

• There was a report of terroristic threats made via telephone in the area of Blades Run Drive on Dec. 10.

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating. 

• There was a report of identity theft in the area of Henry Street on Dec. 10. The victim reported that an unknown person or people used accounts to make fraudulent purchases in the amount of $1,800.

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.

• There was a report of theft by deception the area of Broad Street on Dec. 6. The victim reported that someone made fraudulent ATM withdrawals totaling $18,000.

Patrolman Joseph Barnicle is investigating. 

• There was a report of a theft in the area of Borden Street on Dec. 3. The victim reported that property valued at $250 was removed.

Patrolman Kyle Ludwig is investigating.

Arrests

• David M. Sears, 40, of Eatontown, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Dec. 12 and charged with shoplifting by Sgt. Tracy Polk.

• Lisa B. Kaplan, 47, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Dec. 11 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle. 

• Daniel B. Sullivan, 54, of Rumson, was arrested in the area of Sycamore Avenue on Dec. 9 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Sgt. Matthew Clark. 

• Taylor A. Oliveras, 26, of Eatontown, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Dec. 7 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro. 

• Carissa L. Bossert, 30, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Dec. 2 and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Derek Myers. 

• Arthur Deeken, 36, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Dec. 2 and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Derek Myers. 

** Police arrested five people solely on contempt of court warrants.**
