The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• There was a report of theft in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Jan. 24. The victim reported that $108.98 worth of merchandise was stolen.
Patrolman Michael Zibrin is investigating.
• There was a report of identity theft in the area of Broad Street on Jan. 8. the victim reported that their identity was used to open fraudulent accounts.
Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.
• There was a report of theft in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Jan. 5. The victim reported that an unknown person (people) stole property.
Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.
Arrests
• Mario E. King, 20, of Newark, was arrested in the area of Broad street on Jan. 27 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Sgt. Jessica Boyd.
• Jesse A. Lopez, 25, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Newman Springs Road on Jan. 9 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Sgt. Joseph Barnicle.
• Kenneth J. Raftreemale, 50, of Union, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Jan. 2 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Derek Myers.
• Joanne Taylor, 58, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Avenue at the Commons on Jan. 1 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Sgt. Matthew Clark.
