Police Report: Theft, Criminal Mischief

The following recent criminal incidents were reported by Red Bank police:

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported on Dec. 18 in the area of Bridge Avenue. It was reported that the window to the gatehouse at the train station was smashed. The damage is estimated to be less than $100.

• A theft was reported in the area of Pinckney Road on Dec. 14. Cash, in the amount of $1,000 to $1,100 was reported stolen from a drawer at a residence. There was no forced entry into the home.

Patrolman Cevin Albert took the report.

• A theft was reported in the area of Bodman Place on Dec. 11. It was reported that two concrete flower pots and three tomato plants, valued at $210, were taken from the front of a residence.

Patrolman Shane Dengel took the report.

• There was a report of criminal mischief on Dec. 11 in the area of Riverside Avenue. The victim reported several deep scratches running along the driver’s side of the vehicle and across the hood. The damage appeared to be in excess of $500.

Patrolman Patrick Kennedy took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of W. Bergen Place was reported on Dec. 10. The victim reported that a wooden fence was broken on the property.

Patrolman Nicholas Maletto took the report.

• A theft in the area of Chestnut Street was reported on Dec. 9. Two victims reported that cash was taken from their lockers. One victim reported $120 was taken and the second victim reported $5 was taken. The accused is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20’s early 30’s with a mustache or goatee wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with blue sleeves, blue sweat pants and a backwards baseball cap.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Dec. 9. It was reported that a lock on the door of a business was pushed out of place and the knob was laying on the floor inside the building.

Patrolman Jhonathan Quispe took the report.

• There was a report of a robbery in the area of River Street on Dec. 8. Two light-skinned males approached the victim. A fight reportedly took place and no items were taken from the victim. The two subjects fled leaving behind one of the suspects’ jacket.

Patrolman Jorge Torres took the report.

• There was a report of a theft in the area of Bodman Place on Dec. 7. It was reported that two ceramic urns were taken from the front steps of an apartment. The urns are described as blue, roughly two to three feet in height and contained plants.

Patrolman Matthew Ehrenreich took the report.

• There was a report of a theft in the area of Catherine Street on Dec. 7. Several items were stolen from a front porch of a residence: two short handle shovels, two long handle shovels, two leaf rakes, one garden hose, one wheel barrel, one white contractor tub, and 30 to 40 red bricks. The items are valued at $430.

• A theft in the area of Maple Avenue was reported on Dec. 7. It was reported that a locker was broken into and between $250 to $300 in cash was stolen from a wallet.

Patrolman Milton Gray IV took the report.

• A theft in the area of Bridge Avenue was reported on Dec. 6. The victim reported a man purse was taken from a parked vehicle. The man purse contained brown leather Wilson gloves, two pairs of prescription Ray Bans, two phone chargers, one brown bi-fold leather wallet containing a NJ driver’s license, three credit cards and $200 cash. Also missing were prescription bottles containing Ambien, Ibuprofen, and prescribed Percocet. Total for items taken were $1045.
