Police Report: Theft, Assault, DWIs & More

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• A theft was reported by a female in the area of Obre Place on Nov. 23. The caller reported that five laptops taken sometime between July 30 and Nov. 21.

Detective Sgt. James Ramsey is investigating.

• An alleged assault was reported by a female at police headquarters on Nov. 24.

Patrolman Joseph Barnacle is investigating.

• An incident of theft by deception was reported by a male in the area of Broad Street and White Road on Nov. 25.

Patrolman Tracy Polk is investigating.

• An incident of shoplifting was reported in the area of Shrewsbury Plaza by a female on Nov. 28.

Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.

Arrests

• Geza Teleky, 33, of Norwood, was arrested on Nov. 25 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in a motor vehicle in the area of Newman Springs Road and Broad Street by Patrolman Matthew Clark.

• Wayne Odle, 65, of Florham Park, was arrested on Nov. 25 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Matthew Clark.

• Christie Frey, 27, of Neptune City, was arrested on Nov. 29 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Angel Marrero.
