Police Report: Sexual Assault, Theft, DWI, Assault by Auto, Criminal MIschief

The following July criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Red Bank police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of a shoplifting on July 29 in the area of Monmouth Street. A business owner reported merchandise, valued at $558,
was stolen from the business.

Patrolman Luke Cahill took the report.

• There was a report of theft taken from two victims inside of a business on West Front Street on July 26. The first victim reported that $1,600 was stolen from a backpack. The second victim reported that $65 was stolen from a backpack.

Patrolman Grace Maggiulli took the report.

• There was a report of a theft in the area of Monmouth Street on July 26. The victim reported that an unknown brand black purse valued at $300 was taken from an unlocked vehicle. The purse reportedly contained $2,000 in cash, a wallet valued at $30, several credit cards, a check book, a social security card, and a NJ driver’s license.

There was a report of criminal mischief in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on July 25. A business owner reported that a window, valued at $1,000, was broken.

Patrolman Shane Dengel took the report.

• There was a report of criminal mischief in the area of the White Street Parking Lot on July 14. The victim reported two tires on a vehicle, valued at $250, had been slashed.

Patrolman Piero Vescio took the report.

• There was a report of criminal mischief in the area of Bridge Avenue on July 8. The victim reported that a building was broken into via the basement. Various items were knocked over and buckets of water were dumped on the floor, causing an unspecified dollar amount of damage.

Patrolman Taylor Doremus took the report.

• There was a report of criminal mischief in the area of Broad Street on July 8. The building owner reported that a window of was broken, causing $3,000 in damage.

Patrolman Ashon Lovick took the report.

• The theft on July 12 of an undisclosed amount of cash from a vehicle in the area of Broad Street was reported.

Arrests

• Bradley Ehlin, 32, of Southlake TX, was arrested in the area of Warf Avenue on July 31 and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Michael Zadlock.

• Matthew Rivera, 37 of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Warf Avenue on July 31 and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Stanley Balmer.

• Ellis Washington, 51, of Eatontown, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on July 31 and charged with assault by auto and driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Ashon Lovick.

• David Searight, 26, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Locust Avenue on July 29 and charged with criminal trespass, shoplifting and theft by SLEO II Preston Mellaci.

• Ravi Sinha, 34, of Colts Neck, was arrested in the area of Newman Springs Road on July 24 and charged with criminal mischief by Patrolman Piero Vescio.

• Justin Bridges, 27, of Long Branch, was arrested in the are of Maple Avenue on July 23 and charged with driving while suspended by Patrolman Piero Vescio.

• Alireza Faryar, 67, of Fair Haven, was arrested in the area of McLaren Street on July 11 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Darren McConnell.

• Nikki Marangello, 27, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested in the area of Cooper’s Bridge on July 6 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.

• Miguel Rivas-Beltran, 22, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Molly Pitcher Village on July 4 and charged with sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and simple assault by Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe.

**Police reported 13 arrests solely on contempt of court warrants.**
