Police Report: Eluding, Heroin, Cocaine, Weapons, Oxycodone & More

The following recent arrests were made and reported by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Kayla Gregson, 20, of Rising Hill Drive in Saylorsburg, was arrested on Jan. 2 by Patrolman Patrick Leonard and charged with eluding.

She was held on $50,000 bail with 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.

• Emily Schwartz, 19, of Holbens Valley Road in New Tripoli, PA, was arrested on Jan. 2 by Patrolman Patrick Leonard and charged with eluding.

She was held on $50,000 bail with 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.

• Christian Mead, 25, of Atlantic Street in Keyport was arrested on Jan. 6 by Detective Keith Hirschbein and charged with shoplifting from the Target Store.

He was released pending a court date.

• Joan Cappadona, 33, of Wilson Avenue in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 7 by Patrolman Greg Bukowski and charged with shoplifting from the Walgreens Store and possession of heroin.

She was held on $26,000 bail with a 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.

• Jared Mosier, 21, of Coyne Place in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 7 by Patrolman Savvas Roumeliotis and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.

He was released pending a court date.

• Carmine Conocchioli, 30, of Lisa Drive in Hazlet, was arrested on Jan. 7 by Detective Keith Hirschbein and charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released pending a court date.

• Les Oslo, 30, of Barbara Terrace in Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 7 by Detective Daniel Sullivan and charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe.

He was released pending a court date.

• Joseph Popailo, 41, of Lincoln Drive in Colchester, VT, was arrested on Jan. 9 by Patrolman Adam Colfer and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false information to a police officer, and unlawful possession of prescription medications.

He was held on $82,500 bail, set by Judge James Berube.

• Thomas Metzger, 20, of East Street in Freehold, was arrested on Jan. 10 by Patrolman Thomas Hughes and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, burglary, and criminal mischief.

He was released after posting $15,000 bail with a 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.

• Kenneth Persico, 49, of Main Street in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 11 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with simple assault.

He was held on 1,000 bail, set by Judge James Berube.

• Jose Beniquez Jr., 40, of Vineyard Avenue in South Amboy, was arrested on Jan. 11 by Patrolman Savvas Roumeliotis and charged with shoplifting from the Sears store, obstructing the administration of law, unlawful possession of a weapon and resisting arrest.

He was held on $80,000 bail, set by Judge James Berube.

• Jay Hutler, 44, of Netcong Heights in Netcong, was arrested on Jan. 11 by Patrolman Savvas Roumeliotis and charged with shoplifting, unlawful possession of a weapon, and unlawful possession of Oxycodone.

• Mark Burulia, 42, of Euclid Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on Jan. 12 by Patrolman Savvas Roumeliotis and charged with simple assault.

• John Tufaro, 28, of Linden Street in Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 12 by Patrolman Ricardo Cruz and charged with shoplifting.

He was held on $15,000 bail with a 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.

• Christopher Mendez, 22, of The Fella Way in Ocean, was arrested on Jan. 13 by Patrolman Adam Colfer and charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of heroin.

He was released pending a court date.

• Jordan Bishop, 26, of New Monmouth Road in Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 14 by Patrolman Kent Thornton and charged with failing to install required interlock device and driving while suspended for a driving while intoxicated (DWI) conviction.

• Travis Murray, 27, of Laurel Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on Jan. 14 by Detective Daniel Sullivan and charged with burglary, conspiracy, theft and criminal mischief.

• John Ollivier, 45, of Asbury Avenue in Ocean Grove, was arrested on Jan. 14 by Patrolman Brian McGrogan and charged with unlawful possession of Suboxone.

He was held on $5,000 bail with a 10 percent option, set by Judge James Berube.

• Pamela Caravella, 27, of Pinehurst Drive in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 15 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe, being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of cocaine, and possession of heroin.

She was released after posting $315 bail.

• Varashon McQueen, 46, of Main Street in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 15 by Patrolman Nicholas Venezia and charged with simple assault.

She was held on $2500 bail, set by Judge James Berube.

• Ibad Aslam, 26, of Seeley Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on Jan. 15 by Patrolman Patrick Leonard and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and unlawful possession of Adderall.

• Angelo Torres, 31, of Irongate Lane in Aberdeen, was arrested on Jan. 16 by Patrolman Greg Bukowski and charged with possession of heroin.

• Isaac Benezra, 33, of Hudson Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 17 by Patrolman Antonio Ciccone and charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

• Sean Cadieu, 25, of Monmouth Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 19 by Patrolman Sean Barry and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Tommy Earls, 55, of Chadwell Court in Neptune, was arrested on Jan. 19 by Detective Keith Hirschbein and charged with burglary and theft.

• Michael Fusco, 40, of Woodcrest Drive in Livingston, was arrested on Jan. 20 by Patrolman Brian Dilworth and charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia.
