Police Report: Burglary, Theft by Deception, Contempt

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of theft by deception in the area of Court Drive on Feb. 27. The victim reported that an unknown person made false identity claims to perpetrate fraud in the amount of $1,800.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.

• There was a report of a vehicle burglary in the area of Birch Drive on Feb. 26.

Patrolman Ryan Cullinane is investigating.

Contempt of Court 

• Michael M. Johnstone, 35, of Belmar, was arrested on Feb. 28 in the are of Broad Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Special Officer Kyle Ludwig.

• Janine M. Bedford-Sims, 46, of Neptune, was arrested on Feb. 27in the area of Haddon Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Frederick Hughes III, 37, of Middletown, was arrested on Feb. 25 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.
