Police Report: Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief

The following recent criminal incidents were reported by Red Bank police:

• A theft from a trailer on Pearl Street was reported to have occurred on May 10. The victim reported that a male was found on his property removing copper wiring valued at $7,800. The accused was arrested at the scene.

• The theft of a wallet containing approximately $500 in cash from an establishment on Broad Street was reported to have occurred on May 7. The victim reported that she believed the alleged perpetrator picked up her wallet while she was sitting on a curb.

Lt. Robert Kennedy took the report.

• The theft of a cell phone in the area of Riverview Plaza on May 13 was reported. The victim reported that she was charging her Android and upon attempting to retrieve the phone, she discovered that it had been stolen. The phone was valued at $210.

Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe took the report.

• The theft of a Michael Kors  pocketbook valued at $300 and containing a reported $100 in cash from a vehicle was reported on May 14. The victim reported her vehicle was parked by a valet service while she frequented an establishment located on Broad Street; and, upon retrieving her vehicle, she observed that her pocketbook was missing from the rear passenger seat.

• The theft of a grey men’s mountain bicycle, valued at roughly $260, that was parked and locked in the area of the Red Bank Train Station was reported on May 15.

• An incident of criminal mischief to a motorcycle was reported to have occurred in the area of Morford Place on May 16. The victim reported that at approximately 4 p.m,  he observed that his motorcycle, a 2011 Suzuki, had been damaged, possibly struck by another vehicle, while parked in the area of Morford.

• An incident of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle was reported to have occurred on May 14. The victim reported that he discovered that an unknown person had scratched the passenger side of his vehicle while it was parked in the area of Leighton Ave.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred at a property in the are of Maple Avenue on May 18. The property owner (victim) observed that green paint had been sprayed on the sidewalk of his property.

• A burglary was reported to have occurred at a residence on Chestnut Street on May 16. The victim reported that someone entered his residence and stole $50 worth of stamps, electronic equipment, and coins.
