Police Report: $50K Vehicle Theft, ID Theft, Burglary, Harassment, DUI

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• A theft in the area of Park Avenue was reported on Sept. 15. Property was stolen by an unknown person.

Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.

• There was a report on Sept. 12 of identity theft in the area of Robinson Place. The victim reported that an unknown person opened fraudulent accounts to make purchases.

Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.

• There was a report on Sept. 10 of a shoplifting in the area of Broad Street.

Sgt. Jessica Boyd is investigating.

• There was a report on Sept. 9 of a vehicle burglary in the area of Garden Road. The victim reported that someone entered unlocked vehicles and stole property.

Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.

• There was a report on Sept. 2 of a stolen motor vehicle, valued at $50,000, from the driveway of a Dorchester Way property.

Patrolman Michael Zibrin is investigating.

• There was a report of verbal harassment in the area of Meridian Way on Sept. 2.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.

Arrests

• Kevin J. David, 25, of Eatontown, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Sept. 6 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Patrolman Michael Zibrin.

• Michael J. Smilovitch, 38, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of on Sept. 6 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Patrolman Michael Zibrin.

• Erica L. Silvestre, 25, of Sea Bright, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Sept. 4 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Sgt. Matthew Clark.
