A DWI checkpoint in Monmouth Beach will come with the start of the weekend on Friday evening, Monmouth County DWI Task Force Coordinator and Allenhurst Police Chief Michael Schneider announced.
The checkpoint, which will run from 9 p.m. on Friday through 1 a.m. on Saturday, will be set on Ocean Avenue.
During those hours, Task Force members and Monmouth Beach police will pull vehicles into the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center parking lot from the southbound lanes of Ocean Avenue to determine drivers’ sobriety.
