In Memorium: Rumson’s Rosalie Ramsey, 102

Rumson resident Rosalie C. Ramsey passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 18.  She was 102.

A funeral service is set for 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22 at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.

From Rosalie’s obituary … 

The daughter of George and Amelia Christie, Rosalie was a communicant of Holy Cross Church in Rumson and the Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven.

Rosalie was a member of the Rumson Garden Club, the Rumson Country Club, the Seabright Beach Club and the Seabright Lawn, Tennis & Cricket Club.  She was an avid bridge player.

Rosalie is predeceased by: her husband, Norman C. Ramsey in 1976; her son, Peter C. Ramsey, and daughter-in-law, Mary Alice Ramsey; daughter Christie C. Ramsey; and her sister, Thekla C. Nevius.

She is survived by: her niece, Thekla “Ginger” N. Carpenter; nephews, Franklin “Chip” C. Nevius and G. Booker Nevius; and grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Rumson Fire Department, First Aid or EMT are being accepted.
