In Memoriam: Longtime Rumsonite Paul Fuller Timolat, 74

Longtime Rumsonite Paul Fuller Timolat died peacefully at home on March 23. He was 74.

Born in New York, Paul was heavily involved in his hometown community of Rumson. A graduate of Rumson Country Day School, the Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs, The American School in Switzerland and Franklin & Marsh College, his “greatest delight was spending family time and special occasions with his daughter, her husband, his grandchildren and the grand dogs,” his obituary said.

“Paul was a strong advocate and supporter of land conservation in Monmouth County and always eager to travel. He enjoyed the social life of a number of area clubs including the Rumson County Club, the Navesink Country Club, the Seabright Lawn Tennis and Cricket Club and the Seabright Beach Club. He was a longtime member of the Union League Club of New York and of the River Club of New York.”

Paul was predeceased by his parents, Louis K. Timolat and Marie (Fuller) Timolat.

He is survived by: his daughter, Brooke and her husband Brian Kubaitis; his grandchildren, Brookie and Russell; his longtime companion and kindred spirit, Susan Young; his sisters, Cecile McCaffrey and Florence (Kimmy) Short and their families; his brother, Louis Timolat, and his family; and his former wife, Joann Miller.

A private service will be held at Thompson Memorial Home with interment in the family plot at Fair View Cemetery.
