Focus: A FHFD Showing of Classic Cars & Families

Some Rumson-Fair Haven family oldies were cruising for trophies and they got them.

Some longtime Rumson-Fair Haven area folks parked themselves and their classic rides at the Annual Fair Haven Fire Police and Fire Department Auxiliary Car Show on Sunday and not only had a good day of socializing with old friends, but their four-wheeled prized possessions got some recognition.

Word has it there were more than 100 in attendance. There were trophies aplenty and some happy classic residents with strong roots in the area and the fire department ready to show off and win.

Get a gander at Tom Kelly’s powder blue Dodge Dart. Tom’s not sure what he won, but the car was recognized.

Many who have passed are annually memorialized with car show trophies. And the Kellys and Connors chose the pictured blue Catalina as the winner the Connor family memorial trophy. The Cujes’ classic Mercedes also took a fine prize.
