Well, ’tis the season for the classic Easter egg hunt. There have been many over the years and the past weekend in the R-FH area. And there are bound to be more over the Easter weekend in many a back yard.
The sun may have taken a respite from spring on Sunday, but that and a little drizzle of rain didn’t stop Rumson kids from a little tradition — the annual egg hunt at Victory Park.
Nothing says Easter quite like a good ole Easter bonnet.
So, the Retro Pic of the Easter Day is just that.
It’s your editor in her Easter bonnet back in the early 1960s. Yikes!
The whole outfit was quite fancy, as this kid’s Fair Haven mom made sure of it.
Happy Easter, all! Bask in that sun and enjoy this spring day!
It’s what the holiday was all about. Take a look at our glimpse into how Easter was spent in the Rumson-Fair Haven area in the now and the then yesteryear.
We, at Rumson-Fair Haven Retrospect, hope you all had a happy holiday.
