Prosecutor: Major THC-Laced Candy and Vape Bust; ‘Operation on the Ropes’

A year-long investigation into a large-scale marijuana and THC distribution network involving mass quantities of THC-infused candy and vape and more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana, valued at $1.9 million, has resulted in charges being lodged against 24 men and women with one remaining at large, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Prosecutor: Barricaded Area Man Arrested on Warrant for Assault, Weapons Charges

A 38 year-old Tinton Falls man who had an outstanding warrant on the charges of third-degree aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he barricaded himself in a home and hid in the attic, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni announced.

Crime Close By: Strong Arm Robbery & Theft

The following recent criminal incidents were reported by Red Bank police: 

• A strong arm robbery was reported to have occurred on May 25 on Leonard Street. The victim reported that a male approached him outside of his residence and assaulted him by punching him and knocking him unconscious. The perpetrator fled with the victim’s wallet, containing cash and a debit card.

• A theft was reported to have occurred on Maple Avenue on May 27. The victim reported that someone stole his wallet, containing cash and credit cards, from a gym locker.

Patrolman Cevin Albert took the report.

• A theft was reported to have occurred on May 27 on Harding Road. The victim reported that someone entered a parked vehicle and stole an iPhone, gold earrings, an HP tablet and a Garmin GPS.

Crime Close By: Criminal Mischief, Theft

The following recent reports of criminal incidents next door in Red Bank were obtained from police records:

• An incident of criminal mischief — the entire length of a parked vehicle was keyed on both sides — was reported to have occurred sometime between Jan. 15 and 16 on Locust Avenue.

• The victim of an alleged incident of criminal mischief reported that on Jan. 18 an unknown person shattered both the far rear and driver’s side rear windows on a vehicle parked on Union Street.

Patrolman Patrick Kennedy took the report.

• The theft on Jan. 9 of a handicapped placard from a car on Maple Avenue was reported on Jan. 21.
