Police Report: Theft by Deception, CDS, Shoplifting

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of theft by deception in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Sept. 24. The victim reported that someone made a purchase using a false identity.

Patrolman Joseph Barnicle is investigating.

Arrests

• Derick D. Lawrence, 55, of East Rutherford, was arrested on Sept. 28 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and shoplifting in the area of Broad Street by Patrolman Ralph Latham.

Contempt of Court

• Cesare Iengo, 59, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on Sept. 30 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Derek Myers.

• Damere T. Holiday, 25, of Long Branch, was arrested on Sept. 24 in the area of Broad Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• Zachary A. Schmieder, 19, of Neptune City, was arrested on Sept. 27 in the area of Broad Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Tyler Fox.

• Christian Billingsley, 28, of Howell, was arrested on Sept. 29 in the area of Broad Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
