Retro RFH Springy Mime Cheer

RFH Mime Troupe of the late 1970s/early ’80s jumping for springy joy

Spring has arrived! And despite the bit of a chill in the air, the fever has broken. Warmth and sunnier days are ahead; and what better way to celebrate than with a giant leap and cheer?

The RFH Mime Troupe of the ’70s and ’80s had the right idea … and no idea they’d be the ones to usher in a spring cheer for all nearly 50 years later. Why not, though? It’s fitting, even though they did not speak. The foot, hand and expression work in one showing got their message across without a peep. Yes, that’s a plug for those marshmallow Peeps, too. These peepless guys were, in this photo, downright springy in step. And if the bounce fits …

Getting the message across without sound was their specialty. And it was meticulously done. Meticulously mime.

That RFH Mime Troupe performed all over the place. They were quite renowned. So, in honor of the current spring musical production of Anything Goes, RFH performance art, spring, and all the warmth all of those things bring, you are cordially invited to jump with the troupe for joy.

Know who these guys are? We do.
