Police Report: Theft, Criminal Mischief, DWIs, Drugs, Disorderly, Assault

The following criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Red Bank police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• The theft of a pocketbook was reported on May 21. The pocketbook, reportedly containing a small purse with numerous credit cards and $50 in cash, was reported stolen in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and West Bergen Place.

• The theft of three red and gold cushions, valued at roughly $144, from a porch on North Bridge Avenue sometime between May 20 and 21 was reported.

• The theft of a silver unicycle, valued at $100, sometime between May 20 and 21 from a Worthley Street driveway was a reported.

• The theft of an Alpine INE940 car radio, valued at $1,700, from a motor vehicle on an E. Sunset Avenue private property was reported. The incident allegedly occurred sometime between Jan. 2 and May 26.

• The theft of a Nikon DS35 70-200MM camera, valued at $6,000, from a function at Bodman Place was reported on May 28.

• An incident of criminal mischief — damage to a Mechanic Street business’ front door frame — was reported to have occurred sometime after May 18. Damages were reported as minimal and no entry was gained.

• An incident of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle was reported to have occurred on May 28. The victim reported that while his vehicle was parked in the area of South Pearl Street, someone had attempted to gain entry by damaging the driver’s side window. No entry was gained and damages were estimated at roughly $250.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred on May 20. The victim reported that her fiberglass front door on South Street was damaged. The damage was valued at $3,200 and no entry was gained.

Arrests

• Talek S. Lane, 22, of Red Bank, was arrested on June, 6 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and possession of a CDS with intent to distribute by Patrolman Garrett Falco Jr.

• Kellen J. Polito, 30, of Howell, was arrested on June 5 in the area of Broad Street and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Officer Darren McConnell.

• Rolando Chimello-Peregrina, 27, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 5 in the area of Monmouth Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Thomas Doremus.

• Vincent J. Giovinazzo, 42, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 4 in the area of Monmouth Street and charged with simple assault by Patrolman David Smith.

• Jaime Diaz-Colotl, 41, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 2 in the area of W. Front Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe.

• Michael R. Berner, 21, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on June 2 in the area of Newman Springs Road and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe.

• Valentin Tecuanhuehue-Ortega, 41, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 1 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with obstructing the administration of law by Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe.

• Navor Gonzalez-Leyva, 26, of Lakewood, was arrested on May 31 in the area of Bank Street and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest by Patrolman Milton Gray IV.

• Alexander J. Williams, 19, of Atlantic Highlands, was arrested on May, 31 in the area of Wharf Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Michael Baron.

• Christopher J. Decio, 23, of Glassboro, was arrested on May 28 in the area of East Bergen Place and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe.

• Matthew Colvin, 20, of Lamar, AZ, was arrested on May 30 in the area of Riverside Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.

 

• John Bernard, 51, of Asbury Park, was arrested on May 27 in the area of Monmouth Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Cevin Albert.

• Travis Moore, 29, of South Boston, NJ, was arrested on May 22  in the area of Maple Avenue and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.

• Jascha I. Rickards, 24, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on May 22 in the area of Maple Avenue and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Stanley Balmer.

• Kevin L. Cassaro, 26, of Beachwood, was arrested on May 22 in the area of East Front Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Milton Gray IV.

• John W. Vanderweerd, 46, of Keansburg, was arrested on May 20 in the area of Route 35 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Stanley Balmer.

Contempt of Court

• Jefferson Vargas-Tutiven, 23, of Lakewood, was arrested on June 4 in the area of Newman Springs Road on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Sean Hauschildt.

• Brandon J. Weltman, 38, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 5 in the area of Linden Place on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Sean Hauschildt.

• Fiona Dugan, 30, of Asbury Park, was arrested on May 20 in the area of Bridge Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Officer Darren McConnell.

• Ide Kanata, 29, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 21 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Officer Darren McConnell.

• David Thompson, 57, of Neptune, was arrested on May 21 in the area of Leighton Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Benjamin Springer.

 

• Tommy E. Parrish, 66, of Matawan, was arrested on May 23 in the area of Monmouth Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Shane Dengel.

• Buff Anderson, 21, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 24 in the area of W. Front Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Shane Dengel.

• Chelsea Ginsburg, 24, of Somerset, was arrested on May 26in the area of Leighton Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Officer Darren McConnell.

• Shawn A. Trapp, 29, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 27 in the area of Tilton Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Cevin Albert.

• Alexis A. Johnson, 20, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 27 in the area of Newman Springs Road on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Thomas Doremus.

• Travis Huston, 19, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 28 in the area of Mechanic Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Cevin Albert.

• Megan McCaffrey, 49, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 1 in the area of Broad Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Tanner Shea.

• McCormick D. Williams, 44, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 1 in the area of Monmouth Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Cevin Albert.

• Chad Pennington, 34, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 3 in the area of Monmouth Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by  Sgt. Heather Pubylski.
