Police Report: Theft by Deception, DWI, Contempt

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of theft by deception in the area of Garden Road on May 21. The victim reported that an unauthorized person used credit cards to obtain purchases at various locations. Damages totaled $103.13.

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.

Arrests

 

• Geoffrey G. McBride, 22, of Highland Lakes, was arrested on May 23 in the area of Broad Street and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Matthew Clark.

• Amy Matheny, 46, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 23 in the area of Broad Street and charged with shoplifting and contempt of court by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.

• Felipe Paz-Rojas, 36, of Bloomfield, was arrested on May 24 in the area of Newman Springs Road and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.

Contempt of Court

• Kymar V. Barnes, 26, of Eatontown, was arrested on May 22 in the area of Broad Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• James R. Costello, 46, of Mechanicsburg, PA, was arrested on May 22 in the area of Newman Springs Road on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.

• Qarraan Aleem, 50, of Shrewsbury, was arrested on May 25 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Ralph Latham.

• Jason T. Roussell, 29, of Long Branch, was arrested on May 25 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Ralph Latham.
