Today marks the start of National Police Week.

It all started back in 1962 when President John F. Kennedy designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day. The day started the national week of convergence on Washington D.C. to participate in events designed to honor fallen law enforcement officers.

So, the Retro Pic of the Day, and all week, honors local police of the past and some of the present.

Today’s photo is one shared from the Rumson Police Department’s Facebook page.

We’re not sure in what year the featured photo was taken.

By the looks of the ambulance, can you guess? Recognize any of these officers?
