Rumson Police Report: Burglary, Theft, DUI, Defiant Trespass

The following recent arrests and criminal incidents were reported by Rumson police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Arrests

• Heriberto Cruz-Rios, 43, of New Brunswick, was arrested on Oct. 10 by Special Officer Michael Berger and charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

He was released pending a court date.

• Deisy Aguiar, 53, of Middletown, was arrested on Oct. 18 by Patrolman Richard Torres and charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

She was released pending a court date.

• Lisa Edwards, 44, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 27 by Patrolman Richard Torres on multiple counts of contempt of court.

She was released after posting bail.

• Brendon Fox, 29, of Red Bank, was arrested on Nov. 16 by Detective Christopher Isherwood and charged with third-degree theft.

He was released pending a court date.

• Jonathon Chapin, 22, of Fair Haven, was arrested on Nov. 20 by Patrolman Cody Lovgren in the area of 74 West River Road and charged with defiant trespass.

He was released pending a court date.

• James Furiato, 48, of Colts Neck, was arrested on Nov. 21 by Lt. Christopher York in the area of 62 Rumson Rd. and charged with criminal trespass.

He was released pending a court date after posting bail.

• Dylan Frawley, 18, of Middletown, was arrested on Nov. 27 by Special Officer Donald Morse and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana.

He was released pending a court date.

• Henry Murphy, 29, of West Long Branch, was arrested on Nov. 29 by Special Officer Donald Morse and charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

He was released pending a court date.

• Robin Tunny, 58, of Sea Bright, was arrested on Oct. 6 by Special Officer Michael Berger on a contempt of court warrant.

She was released on ROR by Sea Bright Municipal Court.

• Keith Leahey, 50, of Long Branch, was arrested by Special Officer Michael Berger on Oct. 24 on a contempt of court warrant.

He was released to Middletown police.

Criminal Incidents

• On Oct. 21, Patrolman Anthony Ciambrone took a report of the theft of items from a boat at the Barnacle Bill’s dock on First Street.

• On Oct. 25, Patrolman Cody Lovgren took a report of a burglary to a home on Blackpoint Road.

• On Oct. 29, Special Officer Michael Berger took a report of vandalism to lights in the area of 93 E. River Road.

• On Oct. 30, Patrolman Richard Torres took a report of the theft of coins and personal effects, valued at approximately $3,000, from a Lafayette Street resident.

• On Oct. 31,  Patrolman Grace Maggiulli took a report of criminal mischief to a home on Bellevue Avenue. The resident reported a decorative lantern thrown at a back door.

• On Oct. 31, Patrolman Grace Maggiulli took a report of a burglary to a home on Buttonwood Avenue.

• On Nov. 1,  Sgt. Peter Koenig took a report of a burglary to a home on Conover Lane.

• On Nov. 5, Patrolman Grace Maggiulli took a report of the theft of packages from the porch of a home on Avenue of Two Rivers. The missing items were valued at approximately $400.

•  On Nov. 7, Patrolman Grace Maggiulli took a report of vandalism to property on Blossom Road. Multiple callers reported juveniles in the area.

• On Nov. 10,  Patrolman Richard Torres took a report of the theft of items from an unlocked vehicle. The missing items were valued at approximately $8,000.

• On Nov. 20, Patrolman Bryan Dougherty took a report of the theft of jewelry from a home on Buttonwood Lane. The victim reported the items, valued at approximately $5,000, were last seen in June of 2015.
