Longtime Rumson GOP Mayor John Ekdahl is going for his fourth term as mayor facing familiar Democrat Michael Steinhorn.

Steinhorn has made a run for political office in Rumson several times, never breaking the long-held Republican sweep on the dais.
He also ran for Monmouth County Surrogate and lost to incumbent Rosemarie Peters, former Middletown mayor (a few times over) and longtime Township Committeewoman.
Ekdahl has never been defeated.
Neither have political websites for the election.
The polls are open at the usual sites from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
