Police Report Robbery Arrest, $250K Bail; Drug Possession & Dealing, Weapons Charges & More

The following recent arrests were made and reported by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Jaymere Verrett, 24, of Main Street in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 24 by Detective Daniel Sullivan and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.

He was released pending a court date.

• Varashon McQueen, 45, of Main Street in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 24 by Detective Keith Hirschbein and charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

She was released after posting $30,000 bail with a 10 percent option.

• James Materano, 24, of Melrose Terrace in Middletown, was  arrested on Sept. 24 by Detective Kelly Godley and charged with criminal mischief and obstructing the administration of law.

He was released pending a court date.

• Kevin Cunningham, 31, of Campbell Avenue in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 23 by Detective Daniel Sullivan and charged with theft, credit card theft and using a stolen credit card.

He was held on $25,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• William Madero, 21, of 7th Street in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 27 by Patrolman Greg Buhowski and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.

He was released pending a court date.

• Tara Connolly, 19, of Broad Street in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 27 by Patrolman Christopher Menendez and charged with disorderly conduct.

She was released pending a court date.

• Valariana Testa, 22, of Catherine Lane in Manahawkin, was  arrested on Sept. 25 by Detective Albert Scott and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.

She was released pending a court date.

• Corey Blascak, 24, of Ironwood Court in Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 25 by Detective Keith Hirschbein and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a nuisance and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

He was held on $20,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Sean Haviland, age 23, from Park Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 25 by Detective Daniel Sullivan and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing the administration of law.

He was released pending a court date.

• Kyle Clayton, 23, of Ironwood Court in Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 25 by Detective Albert Scott and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and maintaining a nuisance.

He was held on $26,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Dayna DeSanto, 37, of Thompson Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 28 by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia and charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

She was held on $10,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thomspon.

• Sean McCoy, 52, of Thomas Street in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 27 by Patrolman John Walsifer and charged with simple assault.

He was released pending a court date.

• Christopher McMillan, 22, of 6th Street in Union Beach, was arrested on Sept. 29 by Patrolman Richard Belmonte and charged with shoplifting.

He was held on $5,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Ashley Sammond, 19, of Apple Valley Road in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 28 by Patrolman Daniel Benbrook and charged with simple assault.

She was released pending a court date.

• Jenna Higby, 25, of Lakeland Drive in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 28 by Patrolman Michael Heaton and charged with shoplifting and conspiracy.

She was held on $5,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Dahmere Farrow, 22, of Montgomery Terrace in Red Bank, was arrested on Sept. 28 by Detective William Strohkirch and charged with robbery.

He was held on $250,000 bail, set by Judge Honora Kilgallen of the Monmouth County Superior Court.

• Alyssa Dagostino, 19, of Jubilee Circle in Aberdeen, was arrested on Sept. 30 by Patrolman Felipe Benedit and charged with criminal mischief.

She was released pending a court date.

• Joan Cappadona, 33, of Wilson Avenue in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on Oct. 1 by Patrolman Antonio Ciccone and charged with shoplifting and on contempt of court warrants issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.

She was held on $7,500 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.
