Police Report Prostitution, Drug Arrests & More

The following recent arrests were made and reported by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Crystal Sharkey, 26, of Bayview Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on Sept. 14 by Detective Keith Hirschbein and charged with prostitution and promoting prostitution.

She was released pending a court date.

• Peter Plein, 60, of Boulevard Lane in Glen Rock, was arrested on Sept. 14 by Detective Daniel Sullivan and charged with prostitution.

He was released pending a court date.

• Marie Finley, 35, of Prospect Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 14 by Detective Lt. Paul Bailey and charged with providing false information to a police officer.

She was released pending a court date.

• Thomas Hardie, 33, of Hosford Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 15 by Patrolman Ryan Maguire and charged with harassment and simple assault.

He was released after posting $7,500 bail with a 10 percent option set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Lauren Monaco, 23, of Chamone Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 16 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of Ecstasy.

She was released pending a court date.

• Owen Orsini, 21, of Laurel Avenue in Holmdel, was arrested on Sept. 16 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with theft and attempted theft.

He was released pending a court date.

• Edward Dwyer, 25, of Chance Drive in Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 17 by Patrolman Ricardo Cruz and Detective Albert Scott and charged with using a stolen credit card, burglary, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe, credit card theft, and possession of heroin.

He was held on $31,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Michael Phillips, 60, of Pape Drive in Atlantic Highlands, was arrested on Sept. 17 by Patrolman Michael Reuter and charged with driving while intoxicated.

He was released pending a court date.

• Monet Durant, 18, of Oceanview Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on Sept. 20 by Interim Sgt. Jason Caruso and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, conspiracy, obstructing the administration of law, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

She was released after posting $10,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Megan Franklin, 18, of Morningside Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on Sept. 21 by Patrolman Brian Dilworth and charged with conspiracy, unlawful possession of a weapon, obstructing the administration of law, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

She was released after posting $10,000 bail with a 10 percent option, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Kathleen Corio, 22, of Rosewood Terrace in Middletown, was  arrested on Sept. 20 by Patrolman John Mele and charged with disorderly conduct.

She was released pending a court date.

• Hiram Polanco, 18, of Loshen Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on Sept. 19 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released pending a court date.

• William Madero, 21, of 7th Street in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 19 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released pending a court date.

• On Sept. 18, Patrolman Ryan Maguire arrested a 15-year-old male juvenile from Hazlet, and charged him with burglary, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and resisting arrest.

He was released pending a court date.

• On Sept. 20, Patrolman Raymond Sofield arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile from Middletown and charged him with simple assault and disorderly conduct.

He was released pending a court date.

• On Sept. 21, Patrolman John Mele arrested a 16-year-old female juvenile from Keansburg and charged him with obstructing the administration of law, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, aggravated assault, conspiracy, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

She was released pending a court date.

• Louis Palmiotto, 47, of Port Monmouth Road in Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 19 by Patrolman Brian Dilworth and charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, hindering apprehension, obstructing the administration of law, and on contempt of court warrants issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.

He was held on $25,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Evan Savulich, 19, of Harmony Road in Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 21 by Detective Keith Hirschbein and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, burglary and theft.

He was held on $10,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Maritza Medina, 20, of Shadyside Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on Sept. 22 by Patrolman Christopher Menendez and charged with burglary, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of heroin.

She was held on $86,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Owen Orsini, 21, of  Laurel Avenue in Holmdel, was arrested on Sept. 22 by Patrolman Christopher Menendez and charged with burglary, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin and criminal mischief.

He was held on $31,000 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Page Craparo, 19, of Bayview Drive in Toms River, was arrested on Sept. 22 by Patrolman Christopher Menendez and charged with burglary, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

She was held on $30,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Joann Fitzgerald, 65, of Highland Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested on Sept. 23 by Police Officer Larisa Doriety and charged with driving while intoxicated.

She was released pending a court date.
