Police Report Burglary, Arrest on Prohibited Weapons Charge & More

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of a burglary in the area of White Street on Sept. 12. The victim reported that someone entered a residence and stole property, leaving $1,680 worth of damages.

Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.

• There was a report of an attempted burglary at a residence in the area of Silverbrook Road on Sept. 14.

Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.

• There was a report of criminal mischief in the area of Broad Street on Sept. 15. The victim reported that someone shattered the glass at a bus station.

Patrolman Joseph Barnicle is investigating.

• There was a report of a shoplifting of $128.39 worth of merchandise in the area of Marshall’s on Broad Street on Sept. 17.

• There was a report of a theft in the area of Ocean State Job Lots, Newman Springs Road, on Sept. 17. The victim reported that someone unlawfully removed property, leaving $192 worth of damages. The property was later recovered.

Arrests

• Damon C. Bedford,18, of Neptune City, was arrested on Sept. 11 and charged with possession of prohibited weapons and devices in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue by SLEO Kless.

• Carl Morris II, 32, of Lakewood, was arrested on Sept. 14 on a contempt of court warrant in the area of Broad Street by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Michael Rawlings, 43, of Red Bank, was arrested on Sept. 15 on a contempt of court warrant in the area of Meadow Drive by Patrolman Meyers.
