Police: Local Woman Arrested on Theft by Deception Charges; $40K Bail

The following recent arrests were made by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

•Maximillian Paredes,18, of Third Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, was arrested on May 31 by Police Officer Stephanie Geisel and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released pending a court date.

• Matthew Callori, 24, of Hilda Court in Red Bank, was arrested on May 30 by Cpl. Mark Ward and charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and criminal mischief.

He was held on $8,000 bail.

• Debra Debenedetto, 43, of Wedgewood Circle in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on May 30 by Police Officer Stephanie Geisel and charged with simple assault.

She was released pending a court date.

• Gary Spann, 52, of Linden Avenue in Red Bank, was arrested on May 30 by Patrolman Brady Carr and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released pending a court date.

• Annemarie Dicapua, 21, of Swartzel Drive in Middletown, was arrested on June 1 by Patrolman Jesse Toma and charged with simple assault.

She was released pending a court date.

• James Fleming, 22, of Reta Lane in Middletown, was arrested on May 31 by Patrolman Jason Andrews and charged with obstructing the administration of law, resisting arrest, theft and criminal mischief.

He was held on $15,000 bail.

• Michael Hartigan, 24, of Oake Shades Avenue in Aberdeen, was arrested on May 30 by Sgt. Donald Coates and charged with driving while intoxicated.

He was released pending a court date.

• Rafaelle Buzzelli, 53, of Center Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on June 2 by Detective Kelly Godley and charged with theft by deception, credit card theft, using a stolen credit card and improper signing of a credit card.

He was held on $40,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Melissa Hopf, 38, of Oak Street in Keansburg, was arrested on June 3 by Detective Daniel Sullivan and charged with shoplifting and conspiracy.

She was held on $2,000 bail, set by the Judge Richard Thompson.

• Nicholas Walsh, 18, of Rebecca Drive in Middletown, was arrested on June 4 by Sgt. Patricia Colangelo and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released pending a court date.

• Annemarie Dicapua, 21, of Swartzel Drive in Middletown, was arrested on June 3 by Patrolman Adam Colfer and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of heroin.

She was released pending a court date.

• James Fleming, 22, of Harmony Road in Middletown, was arrested on June 5 by Detective William Strohkirch and charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property.

He was held on $15,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• John Muranelli, 45, of Mercury Circle in South Amboy, was arrested on June 7 by Patrolman John Soltysik and charged with driving while intoxicated.

He was released pending a court date.
