Crime & Arresting News Close By: Criminal Mischief, Theft & More

The following recent incidents and arrests were reported by Red Bank police:

Incidents

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred sometime between March 30 and 31 at a Monmouth Street business. The business owner reported that an unknown person or persons tampered with the locking mechanism on the front door. No entry was gained.

Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred on Evergreen Terrace on March 31. The victim report that an unknown person slashed the front two tires on a parked vehicle.

Patrolman David Smith took the report.

• A theft was reported to have occurred at a Broad Street restaurant on March 29. The victim reported that someone stole a wallet containing cash and credit cards from a coat pocket in the restaurant’s coat check room.

Patrolman Ashon Lovick took the report.

Arrests

• Keith Simmonds, 28, of the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested by Patrolman Benjamin Springer on March 29 in the area of Morford Place and charged with: possession of a CDS (controlled dangerous substance), under 50 grams of marijuana; and possession of a CDS with intent to distribute.

• Kyle Olson, 20, of Colts Neck, was arrested by Patrolman Shane Dengel on March 29 in the area of Coopers Bridge and charged with: possession of a CDS (controlled dangerous substance), under 50 grams of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Rey Elcano, 50, of Red Bank, was arrested on March 28 in the area of Leighton Avenue and charged with DWI by Patrolman Ashon Lovick.
