Police Report: $30K Vehicle Burglary, ID Theft, Fraud, DWI, Drug Possession

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of motor vehicle burglary and theft in the area of Williamsburg Drive on Aug. 8. The victim reported that items were stolen from a vehicle before another, valued at $30,000, was burglarized.

Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.

• There was a report of identity theft in the area of Trafalgar Place on Aug. 8. The victim reported that someone used fraudulent accounts to make purchases totaling $1,599.97.

• There was a report of a burglary in the area o Brady Road on Aug. 7. The victim reported that someone used force to gain entry to their residence.

Patrolman Kyle Ludwig is investigating.

• There was a report of the shoplifting of $550 worth of merchandise from a business in the area of Broad Street on Aug. 6.

Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola is investigating.

Arrests

• Nigel D. Fitzgerald, 23, of Neptune, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Aug. 14 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• Nicole D. Kogan, 30, of Edison, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Aug. 10 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Lance C. Colin, 23, of Neptune, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Aug. 6 and charged with credit card fraud by Sgt. Matthew Clark.

• Deanna Brown, 30, of Neptune, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Aug. 7 and charged with theft by deception and shoplifting by Sgt. Jessica Boyd.

**Police reported two arrests solely on contempt of court warrants.**
