Fair Haven Police Report: Car Thefts, Marijuana Possession, Contempt

The following October criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Fair Haven police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Samantha Manfre, 19, of Staten Island, NY, was arrested as a passenger during a motor vehicle stop on Oct. 23.  She was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Manfre was processed and released pending a Fair Haven Court appearance.  Patrolman Michael Volker was the arresting officer.

• During the early morning hours within the past month, three high-end vehicles were stolen from Park and Princeton roads and Forrest Avenue. As of this date, two of the three have been recovered by police.

Detective Sgt. Stephen Schneider is leading the ongoing investigation.

• Bernard Higgins Jr., 37, of Fair Haven, was arrested on Oct. 1 after an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Long Branch was discovered.

Higgins was processed and turned over to Long Branch Police Department. Officer Patrick Anderson was the arresting officer.
