The line to get into the annual Fair Haven Fire Department’s Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday night was as long, winding and enjoyable as a mouthful of spaghetti twirling on a fork, making its way into a hungry gullet.
The anticipation among neighbors and friends was quite festive, too.
And, once people were seated, eating and enjoying, they and fire company chefs, servers and friends broke bread, stuck with tradition and imbibed in the spirit of community topped with a heaping helping of sauce and meatballs. Now, that’s amore!
