Fair Haven Police Report: Theft, Burglary, Criminal Mischief, DWI, Marijuana

The following December criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Fair Haven police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incident

• A Cambridge Avenue resident reported the theft of a package from the home’s doorstep on Dec. 4.

Patrolman Dwayne Reevey took the report.

Arrests

• David Whitmore, 60, of the Lincroft section of Middletown was arrested on Dec. 30 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana by S/O Patrick Anderson following a motor vehicle stop. In addition to the DWI, Whoitmore was charged with unclear plates, failure to maintain a lane, reckless driving.

Whitmore was released pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

• Devin Fay, 26, of Portland, OR, was arrested on Dec. 27 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a motor vehicle stop. In addition to the DWI, Fay was issued summonses for reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, speeding and tailgating.

Fay was released pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

• Joseph Buchalski, 53, of Allentown, was arrested on Dec. 21 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Brooks Robinson following a motor vehicle stop. In addition to the DWI, Buchalski was issued summonses for failure to maintain lamps, failure to keep right and failure to maintain a lane.

He was released pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

• Harry Felton Jr., 65, of Neptune, was arrested on Dec. 8 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Brooks Robinson following a motor vehicle stop.  In addition to the DWI, Felton was charged with refusal to submit to a breathalyzer, failure to keep right and failure to maintain a lane.

He was released pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

• Steven Marlow, 35, of the United Kingdom, was arrested on Dec. 2 and charged with burglary and criminal mischief by Patrolman Christian Hostrup.

He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.
