Police Report: Assault, Terroristic Threats, Burglaries, DWI, CDS

The following April criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• There was a report of assault and terroristic threats in the area of Radio Shack, Broad Street, on April 23. The victim reported that someone threatened and assaulted an employee.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.

• There was a report of multiple burglaries from vehicles in the area of Patterson Avenue on April 17. Property, valued at a total of $1,613, was stolen from several unlocked vehicles.

Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.

Arrests

• Michael J. Ferrara, 31, of Red Bank, was arrested on April 29 in the area of Broad Street and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and contempt of court by Patrolman Matthew Clark.

• John K. Brown, 34, of Staten Island, NY, was arrested on April 28 in the area of Broad Street and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Special Officer Kyle Ludwig.

• Jason L. Cannella, 28, of Toms River, was arrested on April 23 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Ralph Latham.

• Louis Iannicelli, 46, of Toms River, was arrested on April 20 in the area of Sycamore Avenue and charged with theft by deception by Sgt. Jessica Boyd.

• Heriberto Cervantes-Gonzalez, 28, of Red Bank, was arrested on April 16 in the area of Sycamore Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• Daniel R. Mentel, 24, of Fair Haven, was arrested on April 15 in the area of Sycamore Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

Contempt of Court

• Alexander P. Madden, 23, of Ocean Township, was arrested on April 22 in the area of Broad Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.

• Isaiah C. Crudup, 24, of Asbury Park, was arrested on April 22 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• Tyshon H. Hawkins, 24, of Asbury Park, was arrested on April 20 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• Jagel Ramirez, 27, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on April 19 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Tyler Fox.

• Alexis R. Hancock, 21, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on April 18 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Angel Marrero.

• Daniel B. Gilham, 36, of Brick, was arrested on April 16 in the area of Monroe Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Matthew Clark.

• Renee K. Maskin, 38, of Metuchen, was arrested on April 11 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) in the area of Broad Street by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Jay V. Newcomb, 67, of Deal, was arrested on April 11 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Tyler Fox.

• Eusebio Tecalero-Varela, 45, of Red Bank, was arrested on April 11 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Tyler Fox.
