Fair Haven Police: $10K Theft; Underage Drinking, DWI, Marijuana

The following recent arrests were reported by Fair Haven police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

•  A 16-year-old male juvenile from Holmdel was arrested on Dec. 31 and charged with underage possession of alcohol and eluding by Patrolman William Lagrotteria. The juvenile was released to a parent.

• A 17-year-old male juvenile from Fair Haven was arrested on Dec. 31 and charged with underage possession of alcohol by Patrolman William Lagrotteria. The juvenile was released to a parent.

• Lisa A. Jace, 36, of Brodheadsville, PA, was arrested on Dec. 16 and charged with theft for shoplifting a high end watch from Blue Stove Antiques valued at $10,000.

She was processed and released pending an appearance at the Monmouth Superior Court.

The investigation was headed by Detective Stephen Schneider, and Patrolman Brooks Robinson was the arresting officer.

• Samuel J. Chandler, 18, of Rumson, was arrested on Dec. 15 and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia by Special Officer Michael Volker following a motor vehicle stop.

He was processed and released pending a court appearance at the Fair Haven Municipal Court.

• John C. Monteferrante, 18, of Rumson, was arrested on Dec. 15 and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana by Special Officer Michael Volker following a motor vehicle stop.

He was processed and released pending a Court appearance at the Fair Haven Municipal Court.

• Brett Schwerin, 34, of West Long Branch was arrested on Dec. 2 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Special Officer Michael Volker following a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. Schwerin was also issued a summons for reckless driving.

He was released pending a court appearance at Fair Haven Municipal Court.

Contempt of Court 

• Gina M. Brancato, 47, of New York NY, was arrested on Dec. 27 on a $745 contempt of court (COC) warrant out of Weehawken. for Contempt of Court after a $745 warrant was located out of Weehawken.  Detective Stephen Schneider was the arresting officer.  Brancato was released after posting bail.

• Kevin W. Shann, 32, of Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 26 on a $1,000 contempt of court (COC) warrant out of Rumson.  Detective Stephen Schneider was the arresting officer.

He was unable to post bail and was turned over to the Rumson Police Department.

• Kelly L. Whitfield, 37, of Eatontown, was arrested on Dec. 23 on a $106 contempt of court (COC) warrant out of Shrewsbury.  Cpl. John Waltz was the arresting officer.

Whitfield was released after posting bail.
