Well, according to weather forecasts, Saturday’s a washout this weekend, putting off Easter egg hunts pretty much everywhere to either Sunday or next week. As far as at least one indoor event, though, anything goes — literally.
Spring has arrived! And despite the bit of a chill in the air, the fever has broken. Warmth and sunnier days are ahead; and what better way to celebrate than with a giant leap and cheer?
It rained on their parade. Yes, RFH Drill Team and Marching Band members took a traditional trek to the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade to march back in 1977 and it rained — it poured.
Skeletal remains have been found on a Wall Township property and, as an investigation ensues, authorities advise that the public should stay away from the area and no danger has been posed to the community.

In the Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade’s aftermath, we’re looking back at the luck of the Irish and not-so-Irish at RFH and another parade — the big one. We are remembering a time when the RFH Marching Band, Twirlers and Drill Team not only marched in area St. Patrick’s Day parades, but made it to the big one in New York City. Call it an Irish step dance of sorts — the marching and entertaining sorts.
